چکیده
One of the most challenging phenomena threatening performance satellite navigation services is ionospheric scintillation, characterized by rapid fluctuation in amplitude and phase received radio signals. Although scintillation high-latitude regions mostly caused refractive effect which can be eliminated dual-frequency measurements, non-dispersive diffractive experienced low-latitude region still hazardous. This paper introduces an improvement into Precise Point Positioning (PPP) using a cycle-slip corrector based on ionosphere-free (IF) combination mask recently introduced index called Sigma-IF for conventional receivers. A comparison with from standard deviation geometry-free (GF) made analyzed. significant accuracy continuity PPP after applying proposed method presented results obtained well-known IGS stations. The increasing number Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSSs) receivers launched mass market promising enhancement to integrity location-based applications.

Ionospheric Scintillation Effects on Single and Dual Frequency GPS Positioning
The low latitude ionosphere poses a challenge to both GPS users and Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS) providers. Single and dual frequency GPS receivers used in low-latitude regions can suffer from rapid amplitude and phase fluctuations known as scintillation. Scintillation occurs when the GPS or SBAS satellite signal travels through small-scale irregularities in electron density in th...
متن کاملReal-Time Ionospheric Scintillation Monitoring
As the millennium approaches we are faced with a period of increasing solar flux and intense ionospheric scintillation. Not only single-frequency, but also dualfrequency GPS measurements will be badly affected by deep scintillation, due to its temporal and spatial decorrelation characteristics. Using the scintillation observables derived from dual-frequency phase and signal-to-noise ratio measu...

متن کاملA Review of Ionospheric Scintillation Models
This is a general review of the existing climatological models of ionospheric radio scintillation for high and equatorial latitudes. Trans-ionospheric communication of radio waves from transmitter to user is affected by the ionosphere which is highly variable and dynamic in both time and space. Scintillation is the term given to irregular amplitude and phase fluctuations of the received signals...
